As summer comes to a close, it is time for an overview of 2017. It isn’t too late to get up to date, as we still have 4 months left of the year!
Colorful Cabinets
White kitchens aren’t going anywhere any time soon. While white is the safe choice, colors are becoming more common. Dark colors such as navy and charcoals are the main ones. When contrasted with lighter upper cabinets, these dark, bold colors create an updated, fun space that 2017 has been all about.

Flat Panel Cabinets
Shaker cabinets are the queen of door styles right now, but watch out! Flat doors are closing in on the race. They more popular for modern homes. Shaker will still remain the victor for now, as it fits more styles.
Flat panel doors generally rely on textures to create more dimension and design to 2017’s homes.

Glass Cabinet Doors and Open Upper Shelving
This is a huge trend that will stick a while in homes. Having open cabinetry, whether it be glass doors or no doors all together creates a neat display. We can all pretend that those are the dishes we use, and we are organized! (We all know that our messy mismatched dishes are hiding behind closed doors though)

Low Maintenance Spaces
Whether it be quarts counters, or larger back-splash tiles, low maintenance is definitely not only something we all should aspire to have, but it is actually trending. Having bigger tiles on floors or walls means less grout to clean. Smart appliances that have self cleaning are also a must have.
