When designing a beautiful kitchen remodel the main focus is usually on the finishes. Keep in mind that the kitchen should also be the most functional space in a home. In more recent years, homeowners and designers have been adding smart storage solutions in their design. Just implementing a few storage solutions can make life a whole lot easier. Here are some of our favorite kitchen storage ideas to help you for a long lasting kitchen.
The Pantry
Adding adjustable shelves, baskets on pull-out rollers, and even some drawers to your pantry can make all the difference. Depending on your storage needs, adding a few curved cradles to store bottles on their sides and keep everything more secure. Don’t have a pantry? You can always turn a few cabinets into a mini pantry or even incorporate a small nearby closet for all your storage needs.

Drawer Options
Make your drawers work for you. Adding dividers to maximize your space can help a lot for staying organized and keeping everything you want, together. Of course dividers are great for silverware, but they are also the perfect place to store spices dishes!! Another great use of smaller drawer space is installing a pull-out cutting board. In those hard to reach corner cabinets, add a lazy susan for ease of access or even a special corner drawer.
Door to Drawer Conversions
Don’t want to get on your hands and knees to reach to the back of your lower cabinets? These tend to get quickly disorganized and items like pots, pans, and lids end up being messily stacked and are an avalanche waiting to happen. Pull-out shelving within your cabinets can help! You could install shelves on rollers, however, you still need to have the cabinet doors open completely to pull the shelf out. An even better solution is to convert these into pullout drawers! These are great for holding larger kitchenware, or having a hide away trash can!

Don’t Forget the Smaller Spaces
What about those small spaces beside in between your appliances? Adding small pullouts for spice racks or trash bags and other small things! You can also create an open cabinet for art supplies or kid crafts, or put up small display shelves and store cookbooks, special dishes, or coffee mugs at the front of your island and peninsula.
