As timeless as it comes, beadboard is perfect for less traditional design styles. Beachy, Rustic and Farmhouse are the most common styles that utilize the delicate detail without compromising on simplicity.
Why choose beadboard over other door styles?
Beadboard It looks great in any color(but especially lighter colors and stains). Lighter kitchens reflect natural light which creates a brighter environment to cook and enjoy life in. If a kitchen is too dark you may accidently grab cayenne pepper when they meant to grab cinnamon! Oops!
Let’s say you are really well organized and could never make that mistake, what can I do to convince you a brighter kitchen is the right choice? Kitchens are filled with dirt and grime just from everyday life, if you can’t see the dirt, how will you ever know if your kitchen is truly clean?
Keeping beadboard clean.
With all the extra grooves beadboard has, there is a lot more places for pesky dirt to hide, but don’t fear! They aren’t actually any harder to clean than regular cabinets. The issue with dirty cabinets is that they actually just aren’t being wiped regularly. Once a week just take a warm, soft, wash cloth to your cabinets to keep build up off your beautiful kitchen. Feel free to read my blog on Keeping White Kitchens White for more tips on keeping your kitchen dirt free.
Daring kitchens are in.
Everyone has a traditional or modern kitchen, why not be a little different? Taking a bold step to create a lot of style in a kitchen is very important to, not only impress guests, but being fully updated. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen someone “update” a kitchen, but it still looks like it’s in the 90’s with some fancy counter tops and a new back splash. Beadboard is a style that lasts and can mold with the times.
