If you are soon preparing for a kitchen remodel, congratulations from all of us at Cabinet Cures! You are on your way to the kitchen you’ve always dreamed of! But you still have a ways to go, and it won’t be an easy venture. How will you survive without your kitchen for a few weeks?

Create a Kitchen Stand In
Eating out probably seems like the most appealing option. It can be quick, with no clean up. But not only it can be exhausting on the family, but also your budget. Even if you get take out, there will still needs to be a space to prepare those school and work lunches. Try to set up a temporary kitchen space on a table, safely away from the construction zone.

Plan Using Small Appliances
In your new, temporary kitchen, toasters, toaster ovens, microwaves and slow cookers will be your best friends. If you can’t move your fridge to your temporary kitchen, invest in a mini fridge to help. These items will keep you from eating cold food, tip towing around your, currently demolished, kitchen.
Stock Up With Disposables
Unless you want to be washing your dishes in your bathroom sink or with a hose in the back yard, it may be in your best interest to stock up on some disposable plates and utensils.

Grill
If you’re lucky enough to have good weather, put your gill to work! A grill can do just about anything your oven can! Not only will this help you expand your palette and help you try new recipes, it is a much healthier alternative to microwaving all your foods.
Non-perishable Goods
SNACKS! Stocking up on those non-perishable snacks will keep you happy. Whether it be a spoonful of peanut butter, crackers, dried fruit or cereal without milk, these things will be great for those lazy evenings when you’re not in the mood to cook in your temporary space.

Don’t Forget Why You’re Doing This
Think about the big picture. A few weeks of inconvenience for a luxurious kitchen is 100% worth the wait. As long as you keep perspective, and stay positive, it won’t seem like such a big deal. Over time, you’ll even forget what it was even like to live with the renovation!
