With 2018 less than a week away, it is time to start thinking about those resolutions. While most people choose health and fitness as their main resolutions, you should try adding some kitchen resolutions to your list! Adding convenience to your home will make your New Year brighter and less stressful!
Ventilation
Ever in the middle of cooking a meal, not realize the home is getting smokey and the fire alarm goes off? Even though it is good to know your fire alarms still work, we don’t want our home to get smokey when cooking our meals. Not only is the smoke bad for our health, but all that smoke and grease gets all over your cabinets and ceiling. Vent hoods with real outdoor exhausts should definitely be a resolution for your kitchen in 2018.
Lighting
Adequate lighting is important in every kitchen. Replacing those incandescent bulbs with bright LED bulbs and under cabinet lighting will make food prep much easier, and will help with eye strain! Take care of your eyes and your kitchen this next year!
Designated recycling
Do you have “that corner” where all your bottles and cans pile up, maybe in a box, or a trash bag in the corner of the room? Adding a designated recycling bin for cans, and another for paper products, can cut down on the clutter as well as help the environment. It doesn’t take much effort to recycle, we just need the push to make it happen.
This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t also keep health and fitness in mind for 2018. Stock more organized, better lit kitchen with fresh veggies and fruit to keep your new you and new kitchen more healthier and clutter free this season.
